This was my first time in Phoenix, AZ and SpringHill Suites made me feel right at home. I stayed in a King bed room with 2 other girls, so I slept on the pull out couch while they shared the bed and the room still had plenty of space with a gorgeous view of palm trees and the mountains. It was well kept, clean, and the staff was always very friendly. My only minor complaint was the slow speech and slightly bumpy elevator ride, but the stairs were extremely well-maintained and a good alternative. The location is just a 10 minute walk from the main strip, so ubering or walking was an easy commute. Additionally, the free shuttle to the airport after my stay was the cherry on top to a wonderful experience. I would be happy to stay at this location again.

So far my stay has been pretty nice. The lady that helped me check in was very kind and professional. As a gold rewards member, I was able to get into my room early, which was greatly appreciated since I had an early morning flight. This location isn’t far from downtown and there are a ton of restaurants close by. if you feel like getting your steps in, then they are within walking distance. Otherwise, they may be a short 10 minute drive. As always, the beds are super comfortable and the hotel it is pretty quiet.

If you set your expectations for a 3 star experience they will be met. The place is pleasant and clean. The rooms are very generous with large bathrooms. The closet is odd in that it there is no door. It is very functional as long as you have no guests. The fridge is convenient as us the desk. There is s small snack shop in the lobby which is convenient if you need a quick snack. On busy days they do run short on parking.

This hotel, and the attitude of the manager Sharon are absolute trash. There is -NO- TV service because a "transformer was hit", the elevators are down, and they didn't make up our room today and they gave no reasonable explanation or accommodation for anything aside from them claiming full occupancy and there was just no way they could get any of the rooms refreshed after 100 checkouts. The complimentary breakfast was there, but certainly wasn't worth the trip to the lobby. There is a giant crack in the wall of our shower and the bottom of the tub is oddly flexible, and certainly unsafe for anyone not perfectly steady. There are better hotels for the price all over the city. I will be following up with Marriott corporate and my credit card, because this stay was horrendous.

We were in town for a conference and the host hotel was sold out, so we booked the nearby SpringHill Suites. It’s a Marriott, so thought it would be a really nice property. Sadly, it needs a prompt renovation. Let’s start with the positive: friendly staff, good breakfast, 24 hour tea/coffee/filtered water, and local shuttle service on the hour. As for the rooms, they were drab. The bathtub had rust and old ceramic tile. It was the kind you would never bathe in, no matter how badly you wanted a bath. The A/C is a unit on the floor that rumbles all night long or turns on/off constantly. I was promised “light housekeeping” but no one cleaned the room or replenished towels. So, overall, there are way too many options nearby that are a better value. If we are paying $150/night, you could get away with it, but not $250-300, which is what we paid. It wasn’t the Marriott brand I’m used to. So when I travel back to Phx, I’ll be choosing a different hotel until that one is properly modernized.
