I liked the Art-deco style of this hotel. I reserved two rooms and only one of them was ready at my arrival (6pm). I had to wait an hour and a half for the second room and because of the wait, they upgraded my second room which was appreciated. The rooms were clean. The morning of my third day started with a giant cockroach in the bath. My go pro accessories disappeared from the room. I only noticed when I was packing everything and leaving. Everything is walkable from this location. My first room was small, with no coffee and not really a view (the window was facing other windows) which I guess was expected with the price I paid. The second room was bigger. I had a better experience in the Carnegie Hotel and even the POD Times Square in the last 3 years for the same price.

First trip to NYC and I wanted to stay in a hotel with character, The New Yorker has all that. The customer service that I got was very impressive. I had some confusion on my end with payment, the hotel manager himself called and made it convenient for me in what I was trying to accomplish. He even gave me detailed direction on getting to the hotel. It is an older hotel with the older style of customer service. We all know customer service is very different now, The New Yorker still has that 1 on 1 that will make you feel safe and like you are somebody not just anybody.. Top recommendation for NYC.

The room was small, but clean, and relatively quiet (the street noise is barely noticeable overnight), and overall adequate for the stay. Generally, the premises are dated and could use some investment. The hotel is located in proximity of many landmarks, so it's easy to walk everywhere. It also has a fascinating history. There's a small gallery in the basement, that can be reached straight from the lobby down the escalators, which even though it's modest is worth taking a look at. I have two remarks regarding my stay. First, the elevators: it didn't seem like most of them were operational, and you can easily wait for 10 minutes during busy times to get into one. My second issue was with Mr Mohammad at the hotel check-in counter, whom I've asked to produce a receipt of declined credit card transaction. The card I used for online booking wasn't accepted, and I asked if he could give me a proof of declined transaction for my records. He said he doesn't have to do it, but upon me asking for the printed proof, he printed a piece of paper showing me exactly what I wanted, and then ripped it up in front of me saying it's "his courtesy showing me the document" and "it's taking me too long to understand". When I checked out, I asked another member of staff to give me the document showing failed transaction, which she kindly did.

Hermoso hotel en Mérida, ubicado sobre la Avenida Colon, una zona muy bonita de Mérida y cerca del Paseo de Montejo y el Centro Internacional de Congreso. Lo recomiendo ampliamente para tener una estancia excelente en Mérida.

This hotel is in a great location. Just a moderate walk to Times Square, Fifth Avenue, Central Park and some of the main feature high risers. We had a great stay which was made even more special because the hotel manager Michael upgraded us to the MohammedAli suite!! This is a must see. The site was fantastic and was spacious enough for the three of us. We would definitely recommend this hotel and all of the attentive staff.

Absolutely stunning hotel, especially if you love hotels with a bit of history. The beds were extremely comfortable, rooms were clean. We managed to score a room with two separate bathrooms, they were small but adequate enough for our needs. Ours needed updating, and the window needed repairing but it wouldn't stop me from staying here again given the opportunity.

Clean room with daily housekeeping, which was quickly responsive to requests. I checked in early (3p) and was given a room with a view I found wanting. Asked for and received a new room. The room was cozy, which is not unusual for NYC. Had prompt attentive service at both the on-site diner and the fancy basement bar. Great location for public transport. Appreciated both the deco style and hotel history display in the basement. Room key required to get to guest elevator. Not the hippest or fanciest hotel but great value for cost

No lo recomiendo, cobran taxas que ya están pagadas. Al hacer el check out nos cobraron 300$ por unas películas que ni vimos. Servicio de recepción pésimo, se hacen los locos, instalaciones de los años 50. No recomiendo nada sobretodo la recepcionista Aniana que fue muy desagradable.

Me quedé en este hotel y lo amé. La habitación es súper súper cómoda, muy limpio, la atención genial, seguro. La ubicación es lo mejor, está al lado del Madison Square Garden y de Penn Station, así que es perfecto para moverse a cualquier lado. Lo único fastidioso es que tiene 40 pisos (normal en NY) y a veces los ascensores tardan un poquito, pero de resto, maravilloso.

El hotel muy bien y nuy localizado...peeeeeero 5$ por cada pieza de equipaje en consigna. Nosotros llevamos 2 maletas pequeñas y dos mochilas. Las mochilas las metieron en el mismo armario y aun así nos las cobraron por separado. Total 20$. Son ratillas. Hay que pagar depósito de 300$.

Disclaimer - I was here in November of 2019. The hotel lobby was beautiful, Tick Tock was definitely a bonus to have on site.The cost was decent, however, I was expecting some kind of view.The windows overlooked what must be the center of thebuilding.Couldn't see any of the city, just another 3 walls of windows from the hotel.Was somewhat disappointed. The rooms are definitely older and we could tell that there was some serious reconfiguring years ago.The room was an odd shape and there were also three closets scattered around the room. There was also nowhere to put anything in the bathroom. But we still had a good trip.The room was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.Next time I would make sure that we have a view.

Great hotel, great prices great location. Stayed here for 6 nights for Christmas and it was great. Staff all wear masks and they check your room key before you get on elevator so I felt safe. The rooms are small, but very nice and clean. All the staff are nice and helpful and the diner downstairs has good food for the price. Would definitely recommend for the location and pricing.

Es un hotel clásico, enorme y bien neoyorkino. Forma parte de la historia de la ciudad. Las instalaciones están bastante bien aunque podrían mejorar un poco. Por ejemplo, no hay mini-bar en las habitaciones y los baños merecen una renovación. Así y todo el esplendor del conjunto hace que valga la pena.

El hotel es vintage, pero no hecho vintage, es decir tiene sus años y eso lo hace ver diferente a otras cadenas de hoteles modernos. Es limpio y tiene muy buena ubicación. Recomiendo utilicen el programa Wyndham Rewards para reservar, ahí encuentran los mejores precios para este hotel y acumularan puntos.

Very cool art-deco building. Rooms are nice size and furnished as close as possible to match the style of the building. Bathrooms are very small, which is typical of hotels this old, but really cool period fixtures. Excellent location, which is a quick one block walk to Moynahan Station/Penn Station. Great staff.

Hotel has a beautiful lobby, check in/out was easy. Hotel staff was friendly, housekeeping was very nice and very fast. Security makes sure of your safety by asking for your hotel key card every time you go back to your room. The rooms were a bit SMALL but we made it work for 2 of us. Location is perfect, walking distance to all main attractions. Only down side is the ELEVATORS, seems like there is always a line to use one. The hotel could use some upgrading.

Pros:Easy access to all major transportation. Security is on point in making the safety of the hotels guests and the staff are very helpful at all times. Cons:Some floors has no ice machine.

Primeiramente a localização é fantástica, com direito a metrô na porta. Quartos limpos e aconchegantes, funcionários atenciosos e preço ok. O porém dele é comum a outros hotéis em NY - a taxa de serviço - após programar e pagar por toda a viagem você descobre no check-in que ainda tem que arcar com a taxa, que no meu caso, estava alheio a ela. Ainda assim recomendo.

Hotel bacana e bem localizado, massssss muito apertado! Viajamos eu e minha esposa e mal cabiam as malas.O chuveiro é outro problema, na hora de tomar banho era impossível regular a água, ficando muito quente (muito mesmo) ou muito fria.Evite tomar café da manhã nos restaurantes do hotel, além de muito caro, o serviço deixou muito a desejar.Na mesma calçada saindo do hotel a esquerda, andando uma quadra há uma série de cafés mais em conta.A parte da limpeza foi impecável, tudo muito organizado e limpo.Enfim, o que mais pesou foi a localização!

Hotel super movimentado no coração de Manhattan. Bom custo-beneficio. Perto das estações A, C e E do metrô e da Penn Station, o que facilita muito para quem viaja de trem. Lembrando que a melhor forma de chegar em Manhattan vindo tanto do JFK como do EWR é de trem! Eu sempre pego o trem da LIRR quando chego em NY pelo JFK e o NJ Transit quando chego pelo EWR.

Hotel bem localizado, mas peca por seu atendimento. Quarto pequeno demais, tive que pedir um frigobar. E pecou mais ainda pelo atendimento de seus funcionários. Só encontrei um atendente gentil e disposto a ajudar. Todos os outros sem paciência para entender o nosso português ou espanhol. No café, a mesma coisa. Um cardápio com três opções que , como não me agradaram, pois não temos hábito de almoçar no café da manhã, tomei café, leite e torradas com manteiga. Numa próxima temporada, jamais este hotel.

Third time staying at The New Yorker. Rates are reasonable. Location is perfect if you are traveling by bus (Port Authority is about 3-4 blocks) or by train (Penn Station is 1 block away). We like coming into EWR and the train from there takes you straight to NY Penn. Staff is welcoming and accommodating. Beds were comfortable. Rooms and bathroom were clean. Stay on an upper floor if you can, views are nice!!

El New Yorker hotel es un hotel excelente la seguridad es maxima en el lobby hay siempre dos guardias del hotel. El checking es rapido y todo el hotel es confortable y limpio. Tiene una historia interesante debido que aqui vivio el cientifico Nikola Tesla inventor de la corriente alterna en la hab 3327, tambien se hospedo Muhameded Ali en el 1971 despues de su pelea con Frazier. En los alrededores se consiguen tiendas de comida, farmacias y de todo.

Excelente seguridad no permiten que personas ajenas al hotel intenten ingresar, la limpieza de la habitación es diaria y la ubicación es perfecta para tomar el metro que se encuentra a la siguiente esquina. Todo muy bien. Más de lo que espere en este hotel.

WARNING!!!If I could give the hotel a negative star rating I would! CHECK YOUR SHEETS BEFORE YOU SLEEP! The hotel changed our sheets and put blood stained ones on the bed. We noticed it as we lifted the sheets to climb in after a long day running around the city. The old dirty towels were not taken and just left around . The hotels are much smaller than the pictures. Interior in room is more like a motel. I also had my sterling silver diamond opal ring stolen. Ironically at the same time when I went to inform hotel security and management another guest was reporting her gold earrings were stolen the same day! They were no help and basically told us the don’t care also gave false information regarding police report. They told us to go to the police department around the corner. When we got there they told us it would have to be done at the hotel. So if you have anything of value do not take with you as they will do nothing and file the report from the hotel ASAP! An officer informed us that these hotels do this a lot and “investigate” and get back to you once you have checked out! This way you can’t file the police report! The hotel manager called once he “thought” we checked out! But we had our bags stored there till our flight and kept all our valuables on us and filed the police report.

Not sure how this hotel is 4 star. Walking in, the lobby is beautiful. Staff is very friendly and set up the illusion of a 4 star hotel. Once you get in the elevator you realize that you most certainly are not in a 4 star resort but, in a hotel that is in desperate need of major updating. MAJOR! When I looked up the hotel the reviews were decent and the hotel website made it seem like this really was a nice hotel. Seeing 4 stars next the same helped seal the deal. The place is clean, the hotel staff are very kind but, my husband and I were very disappointed stepping off the elevator and seeing how unbelievably old, shabby and unwelcoming the hallway was and even more disappointed once we saw how tacky, tiny and dated our room was. It was also so weird to us to see how much traffic there was in and out the hotel and no one seemed to notice that this place is certainly not what it portrays itself to be. We felt like we were in an absolute time warp. Talk about false advertisement! I will say that, it’s very convenient having a 24hr diner on premises and the hotel is in a very convenient location. Like I said, staff are all very kind which is a plus. Next time we come to New York for a little getaway, we will stick to our regular 4 Star resorts with modern comforts and amenities. I will say, if modern comforts and amenities, welcoming decor, updates etc aren’t something you care about, this place is perfect. If you don’t plan on being in your room except to sleep and to change clothes from being out all day to then go to dinner, pick this place.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a hotel. They compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you choose this place you for sure will love it I'm sure! I was in New York City handling affairs and had a pleasant experience here. The hotel is clean and the staff was professional. They allowed for an early check-in, which was good.

The lobby is nice. The staff were friendly (Mohammad was wonderful). We were on the 21st Floor and it looks like it wasn’t been updated since it was built. Tiny bathroom old fashioned toilet. Looks like it’s hunted. Towels are dingy. Only upside is that it’s in walking distance from Penn Station. No microwave. No coffee pot.

Great location. Great Hotel. Great staff. Mohammed went above and beyond to make me feel at home. Without question this was one of the safest places to stay with security welcoming everyone and checking keys. Also, temp scans and cleanliness. Everything is close by including food and shopping. Couldn't ask for better stay. Great job.

A história do hotel é de longa data e interessante. Isso se reflete no ambiente, deixando até um pouco "ultrapassado". O atendimento de check-in e check-out funcionaram muito bem e rápido. Limpeza ok. Considero os quartos pequenos, mas atendem. Ponto de atenção é não possuir frigobar, e fiquei sabendo depois que este item deve solicitar antecipadamente, estranho. Banheiro era pequeno, vi fotos na internet de ser banheira com box de vidro, porém O meu era uma cortina, o que é horrível. Molha o banheiro inteiro, para o "benefício" de uma banheira bem pequena e sem box de vidro. Por seu cortina não havia muitos espaços para pendurar a toalha, pois havia um único ponto que era para utilizar as de banho e de rosto juntamente. Não atendia o espaço necessário. A localização é excelente, na 8th Ave. Com fácil acesso a metros, lojas próximas e conveniência.

The location is hard to beat to go anywhere in Manhattan, assuming you are ok with tourists. The hotel is clean and comfortable. I had absolutely no problems, no security concerns. My room was great...
