“Clean room with daily housekeeping, which was quickly responsive to requests. I checked in early (3p) and was given a room with a view I found wanting. Asked for and received a new room. The room was cozy, which is not unusual for NYC. Had prompt attentive service at both the on-site diner and the fancy basement bar. Great location for public transport. Appreciated both the deco style and hotel history display in the basement. Room key required to get to guest elevator. Not the hippest or fanciest hotel but great value for cost”
