“I booked a stay at the WA in Park City with my brother and his family (7 of us total). We arrived early to the hotel and were warmly greeted by the bellman and valet. Upon check-in, Carolyn was able to accommodate us with a room that was already ready. We had 3 small girls in our party and she was quick to tell us about the scavenger field throughout the property and downtown Park City. Our girls had so much fun finding the moose and gathering their pins. We saw Carolyn periodically throughout our stay and she always stopped to engage our girls. It was so nice to be at a high-end hotel, where the children aren't dismissed. She was always so kind and helpful with our requests. She was amazing!
Previous guests have eluded to a lack of staffing. Perhaps, there were previously but we visited during the peak holiday season and we saw didn't see any lack of service or support. Every person we encountered was professional, kind, resourceful, and nice to speak with.
The shuttle services were a wonderful perk and we used them daily. We made a call one evening to see if anyone was able to pick us up from a restaurant in Canyon Villages. We didn't think they'd be able to honor that request but when we walked outside the restaurant, the car was waiting. The valet and bellman (can't recall their names) were all wonderful and deserve to be recognized.
We ate and drank at the restaurant Powder a few times. Great food and drinks; prices on par with other high-end restaurants in the area. Nico was great!
The location can NOT be beat.
Daily hot chocolate bar by the fireplace was a daily hit, as were the s'mores in the evenings. The hotel is clean and Christmas decorations got me. I'm a sucker for anything Christmas. They nailed all the little touches. I can't say enough great things about the staff and our experience at the Waldorf Astoria Park City. Thank you for the memories, see you next year!”

“We spend an awful week in Park City. The hotel failed to deliver on all aspects. A ruined Thanksgiving holiday indeed.
Upon check in we found the heating in our unit non operational and the 2B3Bath was freezing cold. We complained and they send engineering to fix the issues. That lasted until 10pm and left the bathrooms dirty as they had to access the trap in the ceiling there. No further attempt to move us to a different room nor to accommodate us in any other way was made. Kind of “too bad for you, not our problem”
Well the issue wasn’t solved and we spend the night in a cold place resulting in two people in our family getting sick with a serious cold. The next day we tried to talk to them again and they pretty much shrugged it off and send more engineering into the rooms. By the end of the day one room was warm, the other still wasn’t. The fireplace on the one room didn’t work either and there was a constant drip in the bathroom that wasn’t addressed st all. I have spend endless hours with them to solve it, without success.
Throughout the week, the housekeeping was erratic, not always showing up, not taking the trash out, not replacing towels in the bathrooms, not replacing the coffee capsules we actually used, forgetting turn down service.
Furthermore, the steam room in the female locker room worked only twice during our stay. The other nights it wouldn’t produce steam and I got tired of chasing someone to reset it and make it work, after I’ve unsuccessfully tried that a few times.
The concierge failed to confirm bookings with a sought after restaurant where we ended up without a reservation and luckily were able to get the last table at that time. Despite enough lead time the times for the bookings of the restaurants were not at the times requested and we had to spend another wasted hour waiting for the concierge to discuss and address these issues. But obviously as it was now too close to the dates, our requested times weren’t available anymore.
But the icing on the cake was the pre-booked, and promised Thanksgiving dinner which was supposed to be an elaborate dinner. We arrived at the restaurant in-house at the agreed time only to learn that the menu that was promised had been a brunch and the dinner looked entirely different with more than limited food options. The turkey was a dry sad leftover of the brunch.
All in all, more than a disappointment. Definitely never again, will we choose Waldorf Astoria for our worldwide travel in 5Star properties. I will encourage every one of my social contact to do the same. What happened to us, shouldn’t be happening to anyone.”
